The short answer: ARC Raiders blueprints are consumable items you find during a raid, extract with alive, and then learn in Speranza to permanently unlock a crafting recipe. Live Update 2.3.0 (27 October 2026) loosened the drop rules so the Dolabra, Bobcat, Equalizer, Jupiter, Tempest and Vulcano blueprints can now drop in any major map condition. Your four real sources are random in-raid drops, quest and ARC Operation rewards, the Outpost Research Station added in Frozen Trail 2.0, and the Collector Set DLC for the Banjo blueprint. Chase high-tier loot zones and locked rooms first, and never trust a guide that quotes one single total blueprint count, the figures conflict between sources and change with every patch.
What you need before you start
- ARC Raiders on PC or console, updated to at least Live Update 2.3.0 (27 October 2026)
- Level 18 and the three-stage Sheltered Retreat Project completed, if you want the Outpost Research Station route (per community Outpost guides). These are the only Research Station prerequisites; the section below cross-references them rather than repeating them
- Research Points and materials banked. Research Station 2, for example, costs 3,000 Research Points, 5 ARC Flex Rubber and 1 Mechanical Components for the Angled Grip II blueprint
- A plan for map conditions. Check the official Map Conditions schedule before you deploy
- Realistic expectations: no fixed blueprint spawns exist, so this is a probability game, not a checklist
If you are still working through the early quest chain, the walkthroughs for ARC Raiders: 'Someone Else's Shoes' Quest and Arc Raiders: A Dead End Quest cover rewards and unlocks that feed into your progression.
How blueprints actually work
A blueprint is a physical item, not a menu unlock. You have to extract with it alive. Take it to Speranza and use "Learn and Consume" to make the recipe permanent. Once learned, it stays forever and the item itself is gone.
Duplicates are not dead weight. Community sources report every blueprint sells for 5,000 Raider Coins regardless of rarity, so a repeat drop still pays.
According to community trading guides, there is no player-to-player trading market in ARC Raiders; all trading happens with the six Speranza traders, so ignore any guide advertising "blueprint trading" as a feature.
How ARC Raiders blueprints drop after the 2.3.0 patch notes
Almost any loot source can drop a blueprint, but high-rarity zones and rare container types pay far better. Prioritise backpacks, duffel bags, weapon crates and silver raider caches over open-world scraps. Locked and barred doors are worth the detour because the loot behind them is consistently better.
Community-tracked raider caches exist too. Players report a repeatable cache in the gap under the raised highway on Dam Battlegrounds, between Raider Outpost East and East Broken Bridge, reached by zipline from the ground or by dropping from the highway and holding vault to catch the ledge. Treat that route as a community lead worth testing rather than a confirmed spawn.
Treat any "100% spawn" claim the same way. Drop tables shift between patches, and the numbers in older guides were written against older builds.
Exploit the 2.3.0 drop-rule changes
Since 27 October 2026, the Dolabra, Bobcat, Equalizer, Jupiter, Tempest and Vulcano blueprints can drop in any major map condition. Community reports describe a slight reduction in the pool's drop chance alongside the wider eligibility; the practical effect is that you are farming more broadly rather than farming harder.
Community guides reported the Dolabra was gated to the Close Scrutiny ARC Operation from the Flashpoint update (1.22.0, 31 March 2026). That restriction is gone, so any guide still telling you otherwise is stale.
The same patch reduced the Emperor Key blueprint drop chance from Redirection pods, adding a small chance at ARC parts and high-tier ARC loot instead. If you were farming pods for that blueprint specifically, reweight your route.
Your first farming session, step by step
- Check the Map Conditions schedule before you deploy and note which maps are running the conditions you want.
- Deploy to a high-tier loot zone rather than an open-world scrap route.
- Clear the priority containers in that zone: backpacks, duffel bags, weapon crates and silver raider caches.
- Detour to a locked or barred room if one is nearby, since the loot behind it is consistently better.
- Extract alive. Nothing you found counts until you are back in Speranza.
- Learn the blueprint at the Workshop using "Learn and Consume," then craft one copy to confirm the unlock stuck.
- Sell or bank the rest. Duplicates go for 5,000 Raider Coins each; leftover Research Points go toward your next Research Station tier.
Unlock the Outpost Research Station
The Outpost requires the Level 18 and Sheltered Retreat unlock covered above. According to community guides, its research module converts Research Points plus materials into blueprints, giving you a deterministic path instead of pure RNG.
Tier 1 requirements are listed at the Research Station terminal itself; the pattern is Research Points plus materials. The confirmed example is Research Station 2, which costs 3,000 Research Points, 5 ARC Flex Rubber and 1 Mechanical Components and yields the Angled Grip II blueprint.
Treat this as your bad-luck insurance. When a raid streak gives you nothing, spend banked points instead of grinding another run. If you need materials to feed those tiers, the guide on How to Get Planks and Sheet covers the farming spots and vendor tricks.
Supplement with quests, Trials and the Collector Set
Quest and ARC Operation rewards hand out blueprints directly, so check your objective log before grinding containers. Story missions like the Arc Raiders 'Empathetic Prototypes' Quest Walkthrough and the Arc Raiders 'Clean Hands' Quest Walkthrough are worth clearing for their reward packages.
Trials Season 6 ("Frozen Trials", 8 October 2026 to 12 January 2027) awards blueprints and gear through weekly objectives, giving you a scheduled, non-random source.
The Collector Set DLC is the only route to the Banjo blueprint, and it also bundles the Renzo cosmetic set, Dragon's Breath Weapon Stencil, Bob Hair Style, 2,400 Raider Tokens and a Retro Sofa for the Outpost. If you want the Banjo, buy the set, no amount of farming will produce it.
Pick which blueprints to chase first
Ignore any guide quoting a single total. Counts vary by source and patch (the community wiki indexes 83, other sources cite 75 total with 68 currently dropping, or 91 recipes), and Frozen Trail 2.0 added more blueprints, while 2.3.0 changed which blueprints can drop where.
Prioritise weapons you will actually craft rather than chasing a tier list. Weigh the Research Station's fixed costs against drop farming: if a blueprint is on the Research Station list, bank points rather than gamble raids. Sell duplicates for 5,000 Raider Coins each and reinvest in materials for the recipes you have unlocked.
Common mistakes
- Believing a blueprint is yours mid-raid. It is not learned until you extract and consume it in Speranza. Dying with it in your bag loses it
- Following pre-2.3.0 gating advice. Guides still claim the Dolabra is locked to Close Scrutiny; the 27 October 2026 patch notes lifted that
- Farming Emperor Key from Redirection pods on autopilot. That drop chance was cut in 2.3.0
- Hunting "blueprint trading" markets. There is no in-game player-to-player trade window, and third-party arrangements are out-of-game and risky
- Quoting a blueprint total as fact. Numbers conflict across sources and patches, so attribute any figure you repeat
- Ignoring the map conditions schedule. Night raids and other conditions are widely reported as better farming windows, but exact multipliers are only claimed by secondary guide sites, so plan around them without treating them as confirmed rates
- Exploiting locked rooms or duplication bugs. Hotfix 2.1.1 closed several instances that allowed players to access locked rooms and duplicate items, and community sources say exploiting bugs is a bannable offence
Build your first crafted loadout
Take your newly learned recipe to the Workshop and craft one copy to confirm the unlock stuck. Then spend leftover Research Points on the next Research Station tier rather than letting them sit.
Check the Trials Season 6 weekly objectives before the season ends on 12 January 2027. For map-specific detours, the walkthrough for How to Complete Boarding the Frigate covers one of the newer operations.
Finally, re-read the Live Update 2.3.0 patch notes after the next Live Update. This game's patch cadence is why every blueprint guide goes stale within weeks, and the ARC Raiders hub keeps the current coverage in one place.
