How to Reach and Clear Feybreak Island in Palworld (2026 Guide)
Nothing gates the shoreline: no unlock quest, no key item, no boss. Fly in on a mount and the island's missile turrets will shoot you down; the water route is the safer first approach, though a flying mount can make the crossing when the approach is clear. Once ashore, your real objectives are disabling the turrets, farming Hexolite Quartz, and beating Bjorn & Bastigor at Feybreak Tower at level 60, the fight that now opens the route to the Sunreach floating islands added in 1.0.
Feybreak Island sits in the far southwest corner of the Palpagos map, spanning roughly X -1456 to -608 and Y -1743 to -798, about 4.3 km north to south. It is not a separate map you warp into. It is the same world, just further out than most players ever fly. The steps below were checked against the 1.0.5 build (September 2026), with the player level cap at 80 since the 1.0 launch on July 10, 2026.
What You Need Before You Set Off
Feybreak is endgame content, and the field threat band runs from level 50 to 66. Treat these as practical preparation bands rather than hard locks.
| Level band | What to expect |
|---|---|
| 45, 50 | A difficult first landing with a strong mount and careful movement |
| 50, 60 | The practical range for general exploration |
| 60, 66 | A safer target for deeper inland routes, the tower and tougher encounters |
Bring the following:
- A swimming Pal for the initial crossing. Flying mounts are targeted by the island's anti-air turrets once they lock on, so the water route is the safer first approach; a flying mount can make the crossing when the approach is clear.
- A ground mount for inland travel until the turrets are disabled.
- High-tier weapons and armour, since regular field enemies sit around level 55.
- Fast travel unlocked at Scorched Ashland (-811, -829), the closest waypoint to the island.
Cross to Feybreak From Scorched Ashland
- Fast travel to Scorched Ashland on Mount Obsidian's southwest shore. This is the shortest crossing, at roughly 700 m of open water.
- Take a swimming Pal across rather than a flying one. The island's turrets lock onto mounted flyers from several hundred metres out and keep tracking until you dismount or leave range.
- Once ashore on Feybreak's beach, activate the nearest Great Eagle Statue as a retreat anchor. Note that Scorched Ashland is the closest waypoint to the island and the standard launch point for the crossing.
- Move inland on foot or by ground mount before making flight your default.
There are more than 20 fast travel statues across the island, but none can be warped to until you have physically stood on one. That is why the first trip has to be made under your own power.
Disable the Anti-Air Turrets on Feybreak Island
The Feybreak Warriors faction garrisons missile-battery camps across the island, and those camps are the source of the anti-air lock-on. Clearing them is your practical first objective once you are ashore.
- Approach a missile-battery camp on foot or by ground mount. Do not fly in: the battery will track you before you can land.
- Clear the Feybreak Warriors garrisoning the camp, then find the hack terminal linked to the missile installation and activate it to shut down the turret.
- Confirm the lock-on has stopped before you take to the air again. Turrets will not reactivate once disabled, so each only needs shutting down once.
Once the turrets near your route are down, flying Pals work freely over that area. The faction holds around a dozen camps and a named leader across the region, so expect to work through several before the skies clear.
Explore Feybreak Island: Loess Plains, Stone Pillar Cave and the Oculus Gate
The island's headline regions are Loess Plains, Stone Pillar Cave and the Oculus Gate, with the tower at the island's southern edge. Expect 17 Pal species found nowhere else and 19 Alphas.
Feybreak Cavern dungeons offer around 20 interior layouts at level 50 to 58, with alpha spawns, reward chests and mining nodes. If you want a full picture of how this region fits into the wider world after the 1.0 overhaul, our Palworld 1.0 Patch Notes Breakdown covers what changed across the map, the World Tree and Sunreach.
Farm Hexolite Quartz and Chromite
Feybreak holds the bulk of the game's Hexolite Quartz nodes. Hexolite combines Quartz, Chromite and Ore, and feeds high-end weapons, armour and Exotic Spheres, which makes it the endgame crafting bottleneck.
Southern Feybreak around -1234, -1482 is the community-favoured base spot: several Hexolite Quartz nodes plus an oil patch in one radius. Set up a base there before you need the materials, not after. If you are still short on the Chromite half of the recipe, our guide on How to Find Chromite in Palworld walks through the deposits and the conversion into Hexolite.
Beat Bjorn & Bastigor at Feybreak Tower
The tower boss is level 60 and Ice type, and it gates the Sunreach route. The tower sits at the southern edge of the island, south of Loess Plains.
- Collect Dazzi Noct, Caprity Noct and Omascul Bounty Tokens. The tower entrance will not open without all three. The tower requires Dazzi Noct, Caprity Noct and Omascul Bounty Tokens; gather all three before travelling to the tower.
- Gear up to the Hexolite tier and bring Pals suited to an Ice fight (Bjorn & Bastigor are Level 60, Ice).
- Defeat Bjorn & Bastigor.
- Use the portal and altar that open afterwards to teleport to the Sunreach floating islands.
Flying up to Sunreach early is a known workaround, but it is limited to a handful of high-stamina flying mounts. The altar is the intended route, so do not plan your progression around the shortcut.
Xenolord: What to Know Before You Try
Xenolord arrived with the Feybreak update and remains the hardest scripted fight in the game on the 1.0.5 build. It is a raid boss, not a wild capture, so do not expect to catch it in the field. Treat it as post-tower content: clear the island's gear tier first, then attempt it. Our full How to Get Xenolord in Palworld breakdown covers the summon and the fight itself.
If you are hunting the island's other rare materials while you gear up, the Palworld Nightstar Sand Guide maps the best 1.0 farming routes on Feybreak.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Flying in on approach before the turrets are down. The batteries lock on from several hundred metres and keep tracking until you dismount or leave range, flying is only viable once the camps along your route have been cleared.
- Waiting for a Sunreach mission before crossing. Nothing gates the shoreline; the tower is the gate, not the island.
- Attempting the tower without the three Bounty Tokens and finding the entrance locked.
- Treating Feybreak as a separate map. It is part of the same Palpagos world, so server and save migration checks apply as normal.
What's Coming Next
Pocketpair announced "Palworld: Side by Side" (v1.1) for Winter 2026 on October 20, 2026, alongside the Global Popularity Poll 2026 results, in which Sekhmet topped the Pal vote with 49,637 votes. The official announcement named the update and its window but published no feature list, so there is nothing concrete to plan around yet.
That leaves a clear runway. Finish Feybreak's Hexolite gear and take down the Xenolord raid, because both sit at the top of the current 1.0.5 endgame. If you want to keep track of everything else happening around the game in the meantime, our Palworld hub collects the news, guides and community coverage in one place. And if you are still rounding out gear for the tower, the The Ultimate Palworld Leather Farming Guide covers the fastest routes at both ends of the game.
