Forza Horizon 6 Temple of Nachi Falls Location: How to Complete the Temple of Zoom Challenge

Time is running out. The "Temple of Zoom" daily challenge in Forza Horizon 6 is only available during the Summer season of Series 2 (Horizon Decades) from June 20 to June 25, 2026. Miss it and you will lose out on a season point and 5,000 Credits. This practical guide provides precise map coordinates, eligible vehicle lists, and photo tips. Use it to snap that perfect shot at the Temple of Nachi Falls in Japan’s Takashiro region before the season ends.

Pinpointing the Temple of Nachi Falls on the Map

The Temple of Nachi Falls is tucked away on the far west side of the Takashiro region. It sits inside a small circular road loop near a cascading waterfall, partially hidden by dense tree cover.

To find it, open your in-game map and zoom into the western edge of Takashiro. Look for a winding dirt road marked by dashed lines that curves around a small lake. The temple structure will not immediately jump out on the map, but if you follow that dirt road to its end, you will see a tiny building icon nestled in the trees. That is your target.

A reliable alternative landmark is the nearby "Nachi Falls" fast-travel banner. The temple is just south of it. Once you fast-travel to that banner, drive a short distance downhill along the dirt path, and you will spot the circular drive in front of the shrine.

This location is also one of the 26 Photography spots in the "Discover Japan" collection. Marking it now for later completion is a smart move, especially if you plan on earning all the collection rewards.

For context, the in-game temple is inspired by the real-world Kumano Nachi Taisha shrine complex and Nachi Falls in Wakayama, Japan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This adds a layer of authenticity for players who enjoy exploration.

Eligible Ford Vehicles: Which Wheels to Bring

The challenge requires taking the photo while driving any 1980s Ford. There are exactly four eligible models:

  • Ford F-150 XLT Lariat (1986)
  • Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Forza Edition (1986)
  • Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 (1987)
  • Ford RS200 Evolution (1985)

The standard F-150 XLT Lariat is the cheapest option. It can often be bought from the Autoshow for just a few thousand Credits. If you want an off-road-friendly vehicle that handles the winding dirt roads to the temple with ease, the RS200 Evolution is a popular choice. It is fast, nimble, and already set up for loose surfaces.

A common mistake is using a modern Ford that looks similar. Even a 2017 Ford Focus RS will not count. Double-check the car’s production year in your garage before heading out. The game is strict about this, and you will waste valuable time if you arrive in the wrong vehicle.

How to Take the Perfect Photo: Avoiding Common Mistakes

The photo itself is simple, but several pitfalls can prevent the challenge from completing.

First, park your eligible Ford on the small circular drive directly in front of the temple gates. Pull up as close as you can without blocking the view. Angle the camera so the main shrine building is clearly visible in the frame. Then press the Photo Mode button (typically Y on Xbox, F on PC) and capture the image.

If the challenge notification does not appear, try repositioning slightly. You need to be within a few meters of the temple icon on your minimap. Also verify that you are still in an eligible 1980s Ford. A quick check in the garage menu will confirm.

Three mistakes happen most often: using the wrong vehicle, parking too far from the temple, and forgetting to use Photo Mode entirely. A simple screenshot will not trigger the challenge. You must enter Photo Mode for the game to register the shot.

Once you capture the correct photo, you will immediately receive 5,000 Credits and 1 season point toward Horizon Decades. The challenge disappears from the playlist on June 25 at 2:30 PM UTC, so do not wait until the last minute.

Bonus Collectibles Near the Temple of Nachi Falls

The area around the temple offers more than just a photo opportunity. A treasure car can be found nearby: the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 3 GSR is parked on a dirt track just north of the temple, close to the waterfall. Simply smash into it to collect the free vehicle. The temple is also a Trailblazer stunt location, look for the gate just off the dirt road and drive through it to earn additional Kudos. Since you are already in the area, it is worth the detour.

Because the Temple of Nachi Falls is one of the 26 Photography spots in the "Discover Japan" collection, consider snapping another photo later if you did not during the challenge. You will need all 26 for the full achievement, and this spot is easier to reach once you know the route.

The Clock is Ticking on the Temple of Zoom

The Temple of Zoom challenge expires on June 25 at 2:30 PM UTC. Don't let those 5,000 Credits and a season point slip away, grab your RS200 Evolution and head west now. Secure an eligible 1980s Ford first (the RS200 Evolution is a great all-rounder for the dirt roads), then drive to the far west of Takashiro to find the hidden temple loop. Park in front of the gates, enter Photo Mode, and snap the picture. Great rewards and collectibles await.
