How to Find and Clear Compounds in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ (and Complete 'No One Left')

Quick Answer

Compounds are the tent-icon outposts on your DMZ map, six in total and labeled Alpha through Foxtrot. Open your in-game map, look for the tent icons, and cross-reference the landmark list below to locate them. You clear one by killing every defender inside until the percentage bar in the objective tracker on the left side of your screen reads 100%.

For the 'No One Left' order, that bar is only half the job. The last enemy you kill drops Medical Extraction Intel, and you have to loot it and extract with it before the order ticks off. The two open army camps in Daesong Ridge are among the easiest places to do this, since they are open (no key required) and hold a small garrison.

What You Need Before You Deploy

  1. Access to DMZ mode and a deployment into the Hajin Exclusion Zone.
  2. The 'No One Left' order active from the Human Intel chapter (first set). Check your Orders tab before you deploy so you are not clearing a compound for nothing.
  3. Enough gear to fight a small garrison. These are low-threat camps, not strongholds, so you do not need a full loadout.
  4. An extraction route planned before you pick up the intel, because the intel only counts once you are out.

No keys are required for the Daesong Ridge camps. Some other compounds are locked and do need keys, so check access before you commit to a site.

Spotting Compounds on the Map

  1. Open your in-game map during a deployment into the Hajin Exclusion Zone.
  2. Locate the tent icons on the map. These are the compound markers.
  3. Cross-reference each icon against the landmark list below to identify which compound you are looking at.
  4. Confirm site access before you commit: check whether the compound requires a key or is open.

Expect six compounds in total, labeled Alpha through Foxtrot. Note that the letter-to-landmark mapping is inconsistent across sources, so do not build a route around a letter name you read elsewhere.

The most reliable way to find them is by landmark. The six locations are:

  • 14th Political Prison
  • Cheongun Village
  • Imjin Farmland
  • Hajin River Heights (two separate compounds)
  • Haneul Nuclear Reactor

As a rough example of how the letter names get used, Compound Charlie is placed near Cheongun Village and Mirae General Hospital around grid E4, and Compound Delta is rated Medium threat. Difficulty varies by site, so do not assume every compound is a soft target.

Why the Daesong Ridge Army Camps Are Your Best Pick

Head south to Daesong Ridge for the two open army camps. They have no key requirement, few enemies, and easy access, which makes them one of the easiest clears on the map.

These two camps are among the six compounds, so they count toward the compound objective. No specific compound is required for 'No One Left', so there is no reason to take a harder fight. Take the path of least resistance and save the locked sites for a run where you are actually carrying the right key.

Clearing Every Defender to 100%

Approaching a compound triggers the 'Clear the Military Compound' Side Op. Accept it: completion reportedly pays $500 and gives a 'Side Op Complete' notification (per GamerFuzion). Some players report you may still get credit if you are inside when another squad clears the compound, though this is not confirmed by all sources.

  1. Push into the compound and start killing defenders.
  2. Watch the percentage bar in the objective tracker on the left side of your screen. It counts up as each defender dies.
  3. If the bar stalls below 100%, sweep the buildings and the perimeter. Remaining enemies are usually inside structures or away from the main courtyard, not standing in the open.

Do not stop at the courtyard. A compound is only clear when the bar hits 100%, and stragglers hiding indoors are the usual reason a run drags.

Looting the Medical Extraction Intel

The final enemy drops the Medical Extraction Intel near where they died. The exact position varies per run, so check the body and the ground around it rather than expecting a fixed spawn.

Do not leave the compound until you have picked it up. Hitting 100% alone does not complete 'No One Left', and this is where most players fail the order.

Opening safes is optional here. Safes tie to the separate Robbery and 'Open a Safe' order, not this one. While you are inside, though, loot containers freely: compounds are a strong route to safe and loot objectives too.

Extracting With the Intel

Call your exfil as soon as the intel is in your inventory. The order only completes on a successful extraction, so the job is not done at the compound gate.

Play the exfil safe. You are carrying an order item, which means unnecessary fights on the way out are pure risk with no upside. Once the match ends, confirm the order tick in your Orders tab before you redeploy for the next step.

The Mistakes That Cost People the Order

  • Walking away at 100%. This is the single biggest failure. The bar is clearance, not completion. The intel is a separate pickup and a separate extraction.
  • Farming a locked compound. If you did not bring a key, you are wasting the deployment. Check access first. If you arrive at a locked site without a key, leave and reroute to the Daesong Ridge camps: do not burn the deployment trying to force entry.
  • Hunting for a specific compound. No source confirms 'No One Left' requires a named compound. Any clear works.
  • Chasing a fix for a missing intel spawn. If it genuinely does not drop after a verified 100% clear, there is no confirmed universal remedy. Do not burn deployments on restart rituals. Just run another compound.

Chaining Compound Clears Into Your Other Orders

Compounds reliably contain safes and lootable containers, so stack the Robbery and 'Open a Safe' order onto the same run instead of making a dedicated trip. Finish the compound, grab the safe, then extract with everything at once.

Completing the full Human Intel page reportedly rewards a Flash recipe, $20,000 cash, and a Basic Triage Kit, which makes finishing the chapter worthwhile once 'No One Left' is done.

Whenever a compound objective appears on your order list, re-run Daesong Ridge. It is one of the easiest clears on the map, and the habit of clearing it early and extracting clean will carry you through the rest of the Human Intel chapter without a wasted deployment.
