Step-by-step: from stranger to spouse

1. Talk and gift to 2 hearts. Catch her at the saloon on a Friday or Saturday evening and give two forage gifts in your first week.
2. Enter the cottage and trigger her 2- and 4-heart events. Both play indoors, so you need the door unlocked first.
3. Reach 8 hearts and give a Bouquet. Buy one from Pierre's General Store for 200g to start dating.

5. Buy a Mermaid's Pendant and propose. The pendant costs 5,000g and is sold by the Old Mariner on the beach on rainy days once you have 10 hearts.
6. Trigger the 14-heart event after marriage. It plays when you exit the farmhouse on a qualifying morning.

Track Leah's daily schedule and seasonal spots

These times are typical and can shift with weather and festivals. Leah sculpts inside her cottage from 9am most mornings, then draws outside in the afternoon. The spot changes by season.

• Spring: around the forest pond and pier.
• Summer: the beach, drawing from noon.
• Fall: the river in town, near the Blacksmith.
• Winter: the saloon from 4pm most days.

Salad is the fastest start: Gus sells it daily for 220g, with no cooking or farming needed in Year 1. Wine from a Keg is renewable, so use your cheapest fruit.

She likes all fruit, all milk and all eggs except Void Egg, plus most foraged items, which makes her one of the easiest villagers to keep happy. Avoid most gems and foraged minerals; among them she only accepts Diamond, Prismatic Shard and Earth Crystal. Skip bread, pancakes, hashbrowns and trash.

Her 2-heart event plays when you enter her cottage while she is home, and her 4-heart event triggers when you enter the cottage again and she argues with her ex, Kel. Her 14-heart event, added in 1.4, triggers by exiting the farmhouse between 6:00 AM and 8:20 AM on a sunny day that is not Sunday and not in winter. In that event you and Leah paint portraits of Marnie, and you keep "My First Painting" as furniture.

Marry Leah and use her spouse perks

Give a Bouquet at 8 hearts, then propose with a Mermaid's Pendant at 10 hearts.

Once married, she adds an art studio room to the farmhouse and sets up a sculpture workspace behind it. On Winter 28 she gives you a bottle of Wine.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Showing up at her cottage in Spring without 2 hearts and assuming she's out. The door simply won't open until you have them.
• Wasting gift slots on gems or Quartz, which she dislikes. Save Diamond and Prismatic Shard only.
• Missing Winter 23. An 8x loved gift is the single biggest friendship jump available.
• Waiting for the 14-heart event on a Sunday or in winter, when it can't trigger. It also needs sunny weather and a 6:00 to 8:20 AM farmhouse exit.
