Most players drop into Wonkeeland chasing the Willy Wonka vibes, but a secret lies right beneath their feet. The Bat Cave, a fully realized replica of Batman’s hideout, has been hidden underneath the amusement park as part of Fortnite’s “Hot Bat Summer” DC crossover event. It’s not marked on the map, so you could walk right past it. This guide reveals both entrances, the exclusive loot inside (including Batman’s Beach Buggy), and why this hidden Landmark is one of the best keep-it-quiet drop spots this season.
What Is the Bat Cave and Why Should You Care?
The Bat Cave is a hidden Landmark added in Chapter 7 Season 3 as part of the Hot Bat Summer event, which runs until August 20, 2026. It functions like a mini-POI: you will find chests, ammo, and a guaranteed vehicle spawn, but without the crowded landing of a named location. That alone makes it a tempting early-game stop for anyone who prefers a calm loot phase over a frenetic hot drop.
The cave is tied directly to the DC questline. Hot Bat Summer includes six quest sets, each containing six challenges, awarding 10,000 XP per challenge. Completing these quests unlocks the Batman Sprite, a consumable that grants Bat Cape glide abilities, essentially a reworked Grapnel Gun with a cooldown. For players who want to power through the event in peace, the Bat Cave is the ideal hub. To begin tracking the required challenges, open the Hot Bat Summer quest tab from the lobby or in-game menu.
This season’s map overhaul is also worth noting. Only two named locations carried over from Chapter 7 Season 2. Wonkeeland is brand new, so many players still do not know about the cave below. That ignorance gives you a major edge.

Exact Location, Where Beneath Wonkeeland?
The Bat Cave sits on the Shattered Coast Island, directly beneath Wonkeeland on the beach between the amusement park and the Golden Grove POI. It appears on the map as a Landmark icon but has no name label, you must know exactly where to look. For minimap orientation, aim for roughly grid square A3 on the southeast beach.
Entrance 1: The cliffside cave, This is the easiest way in. Land on the beach just south of Wonkeeland’s main structures. Look for a dark hole in the cliffs near the waterline. The cave mouth is open and obvious once you are close. A small Batman logo is painted on the floor just inside, confirming you are in the right place.
Entrance 2: Inside Wonkeeland itself, For a more discreet approach, enter through a hatch or tunnel within the park. The exact path is easiest to find by dropping at Wonkeeland’s central building and searching behind the candy-themed decorations. A narrow passage leads downward and curves into the main Bat Cave chamber. This entrance is excellent for players who want to loot the park first and then slip into the cave for a surprise flank on anyone else who finds it.
A quick visual cue: the Batman logo on the floor is visible from either entrance. If you see the bat symbol, you have arrived.
Loot, Vehicles, and the Batman Sprite
Inside the main chamber, the highlight is unmistakable. Batman’s Beach Buggy, a Batmobile variant, can spawn parked directly on the giant Batman logo in the center of the room. Grabbing it early gives you a mobile loot run and a fast escape route. The vehicle spawn is shared across the map, but the Bat Cave is one of the most reliable places to find it this season.
Chests and ammo boxes are scattered around the cave. Expect the following approximate loot distribution:
- 4, 6 chests (common to rare rarity, with a small chance for a Legendary weapon)
- 8, 10 ammo boxes
- Floor loot spawns in several spots, mostly common to uncommon
This is a solid haul for building a mid-game loadout, not a vault-level bounty, but more than enough to set you up for a fight.
The Batman Sprite is not found in the cave itself. You earn it through the Hot Bat Summer questline. Once acquired, it provides mobility similar to the Grapnel Gun Mythic, allowing you to glide short distances with a cooldown between uses. The Sprite pairs perfectly with the cave location: loot up, grab the Beach Buggy, and use the glide to reposition during rotations.

Strategy, When and Why to Drop Here
The Bat Cave is best for players who want early loot without a hot drop contest. Wonkeeland is usually crowded, but the cave itself often goes ignored because it is not labeled on the map. Landing at the beach entrance lets you loot the cave, grab the Beach Buggy, and then rotate toward Golden Grove or the coast for your next engagement.
If you prefer the element of surprise, use the Wonkeeland entrance. Loot the park, then drop into the cave. If another player has already found it, you can ambush them as they loot the main chamber. This works especially well in duos or squads, where one teammate covers the cliff entrance while the other pushes from inside the park.
Be warned: the cave is a tight space. Shotguns and SMGs dominate here; snipers are useless inside the narrow tunnels. If you land at the beach entrance, be ready for close-quarters combat as soon as you enter. The vehicle spawn can also draw attention, if you hear an engine revving, expect company.
The Season’s Best Kept Secret
The Bat Cave is everything a hidden landmark should be: a secret base with guaranteed wheels, decent loot, and a direct link to the season’s major event. Whether you want to complete DC quests in peace or just roll out in Batman’s Beach Buggy, knowing the two entrances gives you a major advantage over the rest of the lobby. Drop smart, loot fast, and leave the party behind. And remember: the Bat logo on the floor isn’t just decoration, it’s a perfect landing pad for your Beach Buggy getaway.
